Mail Forwarding Option in Odoo Email Tool

Mail Forwarding Option in Odoo Email Tool

The Mail Forwarding feature in Odoo's email tool is really useful because it lets users send incoming emails to certain people or groups automatically. This makes communication easier and makes sure important messages reach the right people in a company. By setting up mail forwarding, businesses can improve their customer service, sales, and communication within the team.

Odoo makes it easy to set this up, allowing users to create rules based on things like who sent the email, the subject, or the content. This helps manage emails better and cuts down on the work needed to handle them. Whether it's sending customer questions to support teams or sharing updates with project members, this feature helps keep email management in Odoo neat and efficient.

Users can forward the mail to another recipient or group of recipients using one click. The Icon (Green Coloured) shows the button having a mail forwarding option.

The next screen will take you to the composing format of forwarding mail. The subject will highlight “FWD:” text preceding the original content of the subject. In the body of the mail, we can see the data of previous mails and on the top, we can draft using various formatting options as usual.

When you forward an email in Odoo, any attachments from the original email automatically go to the new email you’re sending. This means that all important files and documents are shared easily with the new people you’re sending it to. By keeping the attachments, Odoo makes email communication faster and saves you from having to attach files again. This feature makes sharing important information and documents super simple.

Conclusion:

Odoo’s Mail Forwarding feature automates email and attachment delivery to the right recipients, improving communication, saving time, and boosting productivity in areas like customer support, project management, and internal communication.
